GWH is really excited to host our first annual Summer 'Play-cation' for kids!
Ages 5 to 10.
Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm (excluding holidays)
One hour early/ late drop off available. $10.00 from 8am - 9am & 3pm - 4pm
$50.00/ day Drop-In (pending availability)
$250.00/ week - 8 weeks to choose from! 10% discount for 1 month.

Our dynamic weekly activity schedule ensures that participants have a variety of engaging and educational experiences. Each week, the activities may change based on community events, making each visit unique and exciting. Here’s what you can expect:

Indoor/Outdoor Play: Enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities designed to keep everyone active and entertained. From team-building exercises to free play, there’s something for everyone!

No Contact Sports: While we focus on safety, there are plenty of non-contact sports and games to participate in, encouraging physical activity without the risk of injuries!

Art, Crafts, and Science Experiments: Unleash their creativity with art and craft projects that cater to all skill levels. Diving world of science with fun and educational experiments that spark curiosity!

Card and Board Games: Challenge your strategic thinking and have fun with various card games and board games suitable for all ages!

Retro Video Games: Take a trip down memory lane with classic video games that provide both entertainment and a bit of history into our childhoods!

Weekly Sponsored Hot Lunch: Every week, enjoy a hot lunch sponsored by local restaurants, offering a delicious meal to refuel their mind and body!

Playgrounds: Spend time on the many playgrounds designed for fun and safety, offering a space for children to explore and play.

Community Visitors: Engage with special visitors from the community, such as members of the local police department (GPPD), fire department (FD), emergency medical services (EMS), and yoga instructors. These visits provide valuable learning experiences and foster community connections.

​Welcome to The Kids' Retreat - A Safe Haven After School
​
At The Kids' Retreat, we understand the importance of providing a safe, inclusive, and supervised environment for children to unwind after a busy school day. Our center is designed to be a refuge where kids can relax, have fun, and explore their interests under the attentive care of our qualified staff.
​
Every member of our team holds an Early Childhood Educator certificate or possesses equivalent education in related childcare fields. This ensures that your children are in capable hands, receiving the best care and guidance during their time with us.
​
We believe in empowering children to take charge of their own activities. Whether they want to engage in creative arts, play games, or simply chill out with a book, we provide the resources and encouragement they need to follow their passions. Our center promotes a relaxed, stress-free environment where every child can feel comfortable and at ease.
​
Children are welcome to walk independently to The Kids' Retreat, fostering a sense of responsibility and independence. Alternatively, they can join our walking-bus from the Whispering Ridge Community School. This option allows them to walk as a group with a staff member, ensuring they arrive safely and together.
